This is the final set of pics that i will take for Gracepoint Methodist Church just outside of Lonehill in the North of Johannesburg. The Grass has come up and there is very little building that still needs to be done. I had great fun taking these images, as there was plenty of room to fly the DX6, which meant I could spend a bit more time concentrating on framing and less on flying. Enjoy the pics!

Well this is probably the last in the Lonehill Building Site Series as the church is now almost complete. The day could not have been better for flying…not a breathe of wind and beautiful clear skies! The pics were taken a week ahead of the mayhem that is the 2010 Soccer World Cup starting in our beautiful country.

St Andrews Bridge Widening

We went and flew for Sefanutti Stocks, to take some pics of the last concrete pour on the St Andrews Bridge Widening project in Johannesburg. Thankfully the weather played game, and the clouds cleared, helping us to get some awesome shots.

We once again popped out to the Lonehill Methodist Chuch Building Site for the 3rd installment and snapped some awesome aerial images for them. The building is coming along nicely and hopefully we will be taking shots of the finished church. Hope you enjoy!

We did some test flying in windy conditions with the DX6 shooting on the Lumix LX3. The main plan was to shoot stills but we figured while we were there we might as well try some video. We limited the drone to a max height of 70m, but still managed to get some really awesome shots!

The guys at Franki Africa let us into their Wynberg yard in JHB to fly around and shoot some stills of their Piling rigs. Was a great morning for utilizing the position hold functionality of the DX6.
